For example, the article on Snow has yellow stars next to Latina (Latin), Norsk (Norwegian), and Suomi (Finnish), meaning that they're featured articles in those languages.



A Featured Article means that the article has passed a review process to ensure that the article is the highest-quality article that Wikipedia can offer. Each of those Wikipedia projects has their own review process, and since each Wikipedia project has a different version of the article, an article featured in one language may not be featured in another. For example, the English-language Wikipedia article on Minnesota is a featured article, having gone through the review process.
