What is the diff between Converse One Star and just regular Converse?

Okay, so I've seen that Converse apparently makes a line for Target called Converse One Star. I saw some of the One Star shoes in the shoe section, but they were all like $10 or less! How come regular Converse are so expensive? How can these be so cheap if they are put out by the same company? Essentially, the shoe structure is the same, and the quality appears to be the same too. What gives? 10 pts for best answer!What is the diff between Converse One Star and just regular Converse?I am a...well...converse fanatic, and i was ECSTATIC when i found out they made a line for target. Just like Issac Mizrahi before them, the line extends further than shoes; its a whole line of clothes, accessories and in some stores even home furnishings! And like everyone else did say, the quality is not as good, materials are cheaper...basically, you pay half price for half quality. The line has maaaany more kinds of shoes than the typical Chuck Taylors, basketball shoes, and occasional flat...but the sandals, for me, fell apart after they got wet...The shoes are, in general, great for the summer to wear and wear out.

well i saw a pic of one-stars and they seem to be missing the white plastic part in the front which gives converse the unique look. so that is a difference i see.

What is the diff between Converse One Star and just regular Converse?I love converse!!! I noticed that too. I'm not completely positive why they are different, but this is what I noticed.The all stars are like the originals..the Chuck Taylors, and that's all that you can get from the all stars...just shoes. The One Stars are like the different styles...the flats....the ones with the special add-ons and such. The One Star line also has clothes and everything. I think One Star is just for target, and other department stores. I love the Chuck Taylors, there are so many different colours, and they are good quality. I also think Chuck Taylors are more expensive because they aren't as mass-marketed, and there are more special editions and you can only get them at special shoe stores, and the more high end stores.What is the diff between Converse One Star and just regular Converse?
Well I assume it's the same sort of thing with wal-mart. They sell levi's but not the same sort of levi's. They also do the same thing with dickies too. I am not sure as to why stores do this. I guess its some sort of symbiosis. Converse can have it's name in even more places, and target can say oh look we carry this great convers brand come to our store.

The only diffrence for me is that the allstars comes in allot of variation of colors and patterns and as I noticed the one stars have a star and by the lace part it doesnt have the mettaly thingy..I just think that all star has better quality then the one stars.What is the diff between Converse One Star and just regular Converse?

they dont have the same famous logo as the other converses. yeah, famous logo. not many people would know those were converses cuz that logo isnt very famous so that is why they are cheaper.
One Star Converse are the cheaper brand that they sell at Target. It's nice, so everyone can get them.
