What happens when a star collides with another star?

IF it could be possible through an extremely unquestionable event a star collides with another star.

A wormhole is the only thing I can think of pulling such a feat, but it would be interesting to see what happens. What happens when a star collides with another star? They would merge into one very hot star. These stars are called blue stragglers, because they are hotter (bluer) than regular stars of the same age. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_stragg鈥?/a>

Wormholes are purely hypothetical, we still don't know if they exist at all. What happens when a star collides with another star?
It depends on several factors. The size and kind of star and the rate of speed at which they collide. Two binary neutron stars can cause a black hole to open up. Some stars may actually merge and become hotter and larger than the two stars by themselves were. Another possibility is that a star collision could result in a supernova with a nebula as the result, which could trigger nearby intergalactic clouds to produce star births. Wormholes do not normally, if ever, cause star collisions. Wormholes are too small to influence stars. A black hole, an aggregate of wormholes, are not known to cause star collisions either. It takes great speed for stars to overcome their gravitational forces to collide. This happens, rarely to sometimes, in binary and multiple star systems as stars orbit one another. What happens when a star collides with another star?It depends on a number of factors, such as size, velocity, etc. It does happen occasionally, though usually in regions where stars are more closely packed together than in our vicinity, such as closer to the center of the galaxy. A more likely scenario is that as they get closer together, they begin to orbit a common center of gravity, and form a binary pair.If one star is much larger than the other, it's gravity will start to strip matter from the smaller one in a characteristic spiral until it has absorbed all the matter, resulting in a single, more massive object. What happens when a star collides with another star?
Epicness. What happens when a star collides with another star?Explosion or merger!
They form a new star, or the might become a supernova. What happens when a star collides with another star?
The size and angle of collision would make all the difference.
If they were the same type of star wouldn't they just combine since they are made of gas? What happens when a star collides with another star?
hmmm......wouldnt they blow up.. :s thats what i think........explosion!
