How do you get to star in a commercial?

Ok, so my little sister is desperate to star in commercials. Like ones for clothes or toys. But do you need to be a child model, or be a professional commercial actor? I know you probably need an agent and that, but we just don't know how it works. So if any of you know what happens, please tell me!

The thing is there are millions of other kids who want to be in commercials, tv show, movies %26amp; other things. Yet there are only so many commercials, tv shows %26amp; movies. 1000's may try out for the commercial yet only one kid is given the job.



The first step is to get head shots done. That can cost a lot!!!



As a kid %26amp; teen I was really into drama, acting %26amp; performing. When I was in highschool I met some kids in my drama classes who had agents and starred in shows around town plus even in big shows around the state.. They also went in tv, commercial %26amp; movie auditions during the weekend. I became real close with a guy friend who actually went on a few auditions with a well known actor now he called Leo. It was Leonardo DiCaprio. This was after Leo left Growing Pains.



The key though is to get her face out there which from what I've haerd is through a talent agent.



It takes a committed parent though to help a child become a child star. Most moms or both parents give up their job so they can help a child full time.



I wanted to get an agent as a young teen yet my parents refused. I was crushed and really disappointed. This isn't a thing a kid can do on their own. Plus they need to be ready to face a lot of rejection.How do you get to star in a commercial?Step 1 will be to produce a "BIO" (sample biography templates can be found online or just check your favorite celebs website to see how they did theirs)

Step 2 will be to get some professional head shots taken

Step 3 will be a short video showing the personality of the child.
