Who is the author of the star wars books that take place after the original 3 movies?

Does anyone know what im talking about? In the books luke has re-established the jedi order, han and leia have kids who are jedi, get the picture? Im not sure if there is more then one book series on star wars so can anyone help me?Who is the author of the star wars books that take place after the original 3 movies? There is no one author of the Star Wars books that take place after the OT ... there are many. Also, just in case you didn't know, Lucas has never written a book in his entire life. When it comes to the Star Wars EU (Expanded Universe of books %26amp; comics) Lucas has a select "pool" of top notch Sci-Fi authors to write in the EU ... a few of them are as follows: Timothy Zahn, Kevin J. Anderson, Michael Stackpole, Matt Stover, Aaron Allston, Troy Denning, James Luceno.

While there are many "book series" on Star Wars they are ALL part of one basic time line of events ... they aren't like the Star Trek books that don't even have to make sense to be called Star Trek.

All the books of the Star Wars EU, while not written by, much get the OK of Lucas before they are published as he is the one who calls the shots in this galaxy he has created. The following link will take you to a time line of the books from Del Rey books ... the official publisher of SW books:

EDIT: The answer by "sntdiana" is obvious spam. Since you are "new" to the Star Wars EU (Expanded Universe of books and comics) I would advise you not to bother with the time line at wikipedia. Over a third of the books listed in it were never written and it is a nightmare to actually try to understand. I've been reading the books of the EU since the Thrawn Trilogy came out in 1990 and have read pretty much all of the books since then and the time line at wikipedia even confuses me at times.

EDIT 2: From the story you describe in your question I would guess that you are talking about the New Jedi Order story arc set about 25 years after the events of the movies. I would NOT recommend this be the first SW books you read as a LOT has happened in the 25 years between the movies and the NJO. The Thrawn Trilogy is actually the best place to start ... IMHO.
