What do you think seeing a shooting star means spiritually?

Last weekend I was standing on a dock at night looking at the stars, and I said the Lord's Prayer and then I looked to my left and saw a shooting star.



Do ya think that means something mystical?What do you think seeing a shooting star means spiritually?If it was a Fireball it means "Go Methodist".

Actually what you saw was a large rock made of various stones, metals and ice hit our atmosphere and leave a burning path through the ozone. Statistically speaking most meteors are seen in early evening low on the horizon over water, mountains or open planes where...people tend to pray outdoors the most so don't rely on the anomoly of seeing such a common phenomena as any kind of sign. God doesn't give signs. He gives answers. He isn't a mystical, mysterious God of intricate yet subtle hints to lifes vast, myriad of quandries. He's a God of love, action and truth all of which can be found in His book. However, one truth that I have found much peace in is that if you be still, take a look around and question nature...He is there and it is possible to know He is God. "Be still and know that I Am God."

At any rate, I'm always blessed when I see something of His wonders...and I feel further blessed in that He provided for me a mind that won't take them for granted and even further blessed still to know that He is the One True God who provided those wonders. And although I don't think they mean anything spiritual, I still make a wish or say a brief prayer when I see one. :)



not stars though - they are meteorites... and it's almost August which means the Perseids Meteor Shower is getting closer. Have a good look at the skies around the week of August 12th, you will see lots of meteors, but try to get out somewhere where there is no light pollution.What do you think seeing a shooting star means spiritually?

I believe it is our Creator's way of reminding us that we are not alone. It is a reassurance that He is watching over us and is always here when we need Him. God Bless! +?+
