What do I need to do like cutting them, moving them inside...ect?What do I do with my star-glazed lilies in winter to get them to grow back in the summer?all your answers are right, but you could also put the pot in the basement this keep them well for the next year...but not every year they come back sometimes,no matter what you do they still die...so this spring I put mines in the ground, and right now they are doing great I am hoping that next year they come back...good luck..What do I do with my star-glazed lilies in winter to get them to grow back in the summer?
Allow them to dry off naturally, then remove all dead foliage let the pot completely dry out or they will rot, then put them in a cool dark place.
If you live in a house put them in the ground and cover them with lots of mulch and they will come back in the spring. If you leave them in the pot out side they will freeze and you will lose them,in the ground is best.I live in northern canada. What do I do with my star-glazed lilies in winter to get them to grow back in the summer?Once they have flowered, bend the stock over and tie it together. This puts all the energy of growing back into the bulb. After eating that bananna, lay the pealings on top of soil next to plant and mulch with straw,[about 6" deep] for the winter.MarkWhat do I do with my star-glazed lilies in winter to get them to grow back in the summer?
cut them back when the foliage browns, give them triple phosphate(in fall, for root development)when they are ready to bloom, treat for lily-beetles,in your zone ,they should. . pop out early to mid- july/What do I do with my star-glazed lilies in winter to get them to grow back in the summer?I would plant them in the ground and mulch them for the winter.
