Is it possible to disconnect the On Star in my 2007 Silverado and just plug it in when I want to use it?

On Star is Big Brother! They can track your movements any time with GPS information. They admit it on the On Star website, but they say their policy is not to track you (usually). The website says their privacy policy is subject to change whenever they want.Is it possible to disconnect the On Star in my 2007 Silverado and just plug it in when I want to use it?there is a plug in on the back of the mirror, just unplug it.Is it possible to disconnect the On Star in my 2007 Silverado and just plug it in when I want to use it?

yes disconnect it. they are big brother. they bug. screw onstarIs it possible to disconnect the On Star in my 2007 Silverado and just plug it in when I want to use it?it is wired in to the computer on that one,and it can mess the running of the vehicle up by disconnecting it,i don't think they should have built them like this but they did, they can unlock or lock your doors from any where they want to,and my thoughts on this is invasion of privacy, but to the best of my knowledge it cant be shut off,it will affect other things on the vehicle, that's why i wouldn't want it,i seen their web site on this ,its been updated also, and says it can help track the vehicle any time they need to ,i don't like that part of it,it might be good for the owner in one way,and bad in another way, good luck and have a merry x-mas.Is it possible to disconnect the On Star in my 2007 Silverado and just plug it in when I want to use it?
sell it and go buy a ford. They do not track you because you will never get very far because they always break down.Is it possible to disconnect the On Star in my 2007 Silverado and just plug it in when I want to use it?
In order for On Star to work properly, the on roof antenna (At least on my car anyway), has to have line of site with the sky.

Anytime I go into a tunnel or undergound, it doesn't work. So couldn't you just cover it up?
