If you're going to put Alfonso Soriano as the starter with a 220. Batting average, you might as well put Ken Griffey Jr. in there, too. Honestly though, the all-star game isn't based on statistics; it's based on what the fans want to see, not what the statistics show, and that's why a few people who are "deserving" of making it there, will not be in the MLB All Star game.
