What does it mean if there is a star on the beginning of a note?
I have a 1957 $1 Silver Certificate that has a Star on the beginning of the serial. I know if it is at the end of the serial that means its a replacement note. I cannot locate any information that will let me know what it means if it is in the beginning. Any answer is appreciated. What does it mean if there is a star on the beginning of a note? The star after the serial number is a replacement note that was issued to take the place of a defective note that was discovered. Since it's too cost-prohibitive to re-issue the same serial number, it's easier to print up a bunch of star notes and then use them to fill the stack once the defects are pulled out. Most star notes don't command a premium unless they are uncirculated, and/or have a real interesting serial number. You might try visiting the Bill Collectors' and Numismatic Forum to see if it has some collector's value. What does it mean if there is a star on the beginning of a note?Call up a coin collector shop or a numismatic exchange. Or call your bank. You will find an expert by doing this or something else related to currency collecting. Good luck! :)What does it mean if there is a star on the beginning of a note?I have 3 1928 silver certificates and was looking for the same info. This link helped me, maybe will answer your ? as well g/l

Do American women consider a being a porn star a legitimate career choice?
I am from Europe. I ask because the USA produces absolutely massive ammounts of pornography, and its revenues exceed many other industries. The internet has increased its reach, and porn studios are always recruiting 'fresh meat'. What is the general attitude in the states to this career choice. Would a woman be looked down upon or would it be considered normal? Guys, would you mind your daughter becoming a porn star?Do American women consider a being a porn star a legitimate career choice?I don't judge people, it is their life to do whatever they want to do. So, yes for me I see it as a legitimate career choice, not something I would ever do for any amount of money but that is my choice.
I do believe though that most people do look down upon those in that industry. Even guys who watch the porn they make.Do American women consider a being a porn star a legitimate career choice?
"Do American women consider a being a porn star a legitimate career choice?" Some do, some don't.
"What is the general attitude in the states to this career choice. Would a woman be looked down upon or would it be considered normal?" The Religious Right and the Moral Majority will definitely have a problem even though they are the porn industry's BIGGEST clients. That's a docemented fact. Other people usually don't have a problem with it.
"Guys, would you mind your daughter becoming a porn star?" I wouldn't mind because she would be of legal age and free to do what she wanted career-wise. Of course, it wouldn't be my first career choice for her, but whatever bakes her brownies.Do American women consider a being a porn star a legitimate career choice? The general attitude toward porn stars is changing in the US. In years past it has been looked down upon. I have noticed a new trend where it is more accepted by the younger generations. I would be willing to bet that in the next few decades that it does become a legitimate career choice for woman. On your second question if I had a daughter I would not be happy about it, but it is her choice to do it. So I would except it, but would grumble about it a little.Do American women consider a being a porn star a legitimate career choice?
lol...well being a porn star def. isn't something that most women would aspire to be. Porn is popular EVERYWHERE, not just in the US. and most porn sites have specific categories
if you were to get into the porn industry, you would be looked upon as a slut and someone who is easy. guys would probably want to have sex with you, but relationship, or marriage? forget about it! the porn industry in america can be very male dominated and women are only seen as sex objects.Do American women consider a being a porn star a legitimate career choice?it depends who the girl's circle of friends are. if she has cool friends then they would understand her job is just for money and stuff, but if her friends are snobby they would look down on her definitely and probably start trash-talking. but porn pays very well if you're willing to make a career of it by doing multiple videos. Alot of people look down on it though and it would be very difficult to get hired for a conventional job after your porn days are over.
The opinionated people who judge everyone don't like it, and try to make fun of everyone not like them. Normal people, on the other hand, don't care and consider it a legitimate career.
I would not mind my daughter being a porn star, if that is what she chose to do. Everyone has the right to choose what they want to do with their lives.Do American women consider a being a porn star a legitimate career choice?
Personally I consider pornography to be a form of prostitution. Just my opinion. However, if I was willing and able to do it (I mean if I had low self esteem and didn't care about myself and was uneducated), crap I would do it. Fast, easy money and loads of it. I am talking about 100s of thousands of dollars a year if they are "good" at it. I mean how hard could it be, right? But, what happens when they hit 30 and the boobs start to sag and the vayjay is loose? Then what? they are washed up and out of the business. What do they do then? Work at WalMart?
I don't know. I don't really think it is a legit career.
I know you asked the guys about their daughters, but I will say that I wouldn't want my daughter or son in that line of work. How weird would that be?
No self respecting citizen of the USA considers a porn star a legitimate career. Though some porn stars have become so famous, you almost forget how they got their claim to fame.
Though i like porn, and porn stars, I would hate it if my daughter was a porn star.
Porn is a filthy habit. But its soooo good.Do American women consider a being a porn star a legitimate career choice?
well, first of all, porn is looked down upon wherever u r in this world.. yes, people like to watch the movies, but would despise the people who act them. it's never a normal career to flaunt it.. and about my daughter? well i would go all SAW on her if i knew she even considered being a porn star... maybe that would knock some sense into her!
hope i helped!
American's view pron starts as filthy. Sure, they may like to watch them in flicks, but they regard them as having no self respect. Just because someone makes a lotof money does not mean we, as American's, are impressed. Besides, I would NEVER want to be with a pron star, I'd be afraid of getting AIDS or some other STD.
Just watch the show "girls next door" about some play boy bunnys. They definately treat it like a great carreer and I saw one show where she gave her parents a tour and told them how great it was. of course she was one of hugh's main ladies so she had it great, but still.
If I had parents I'd hope they'd love me enough to support me if that's what I wanted to do. Not a legitimate career, but it's not the end of the world. Some girls have fewer options than others.
I have read some where about the high levels of illiteracy in USA.
Remember you need no qualifications to be a porn star. Any shape or size can get into porn and you can be thick as bricks.
There is not general attitude... Good people hate it. Average people tolerate it. Misguided people, support it.
Its disgusting dummy. Use common sense. The only type of person who would find that a legitimate career are those producing the films, and porn addicts.
The media has made anything decent and wholesome bad and all the sleazy, nasty stuff good. It still isn't, they just think they are indoctrinating the world with their evil.
yes they do...there's documentaries and everything...some even dream about it and work towards it (breast implants etc) just like you would any other career.
What a bottom of the barrel choice for making a pay check. Porn Starring is one step below suicide.
No, just the men.
it doesnt exceed India!! lol but it is bad...
I'd rather kill my daughter than letting her to become a porn star
yea ones with no respect
well if your good then its okay..look at jenna jameson
Jenna Jameson has like over 100 Million Dollars. I would say yes, even a average girl in porn can make a 6 figure salary, but that's a lot of movies. but if you like the work.
Yes, it does appear to be a legit career choice and they're large numbers of porn companies in the u.s. I really wouldn't mind if my daughter wanted to do it.

In Star Wars Episode 3, what scenes do you think are the best to define Special FX?
I am doing a project on Star Wars and I want to use Episode 3 (mainly because it is my favorite)
I want some second (and third, fourth, etc.) opinions for what scenes and examples I should use.
Thanks for your help!In Star Wars Episode 3, what scenes do you think are the best to define Special FX?Well, on the DVD there is a documentary on all that was needed to make the short sequence of Anakin and Obi Wan exterior battle on Mustafar. I'm sure checking that out would go a long way for you, as it is a very complex scene.
After that, I would say Yoda v. Sidious, seeing as Yoda is a CGI character, and all he has going on with him in that. Likewise with Obi Wan v. Grievous. For what it's worth Mace Windu v. Sidious and I believe Anakin v. Dooku both had the elder character's face CG'ed over a stunt double.
After that.... take your pick at any of the background shots, since it's pretty much all green screen.

...What is the name of the song and composer who composed the dramtic song in star wars phantom menace? The song is called "Duel of the Fates". Incidentally, the words being sung are Sanskrit. John Williams (the composer) chose them purely for the way they sound and their meanings, whatever they are, are completely irrelevant to the song or the events.
